This policy outlines the terms for cancellations and refunds for solar installation services provided by I&S Enterprises Pvt Ltd.

2. Cancellation by Customer

Before Site Assessment:

  • Full refund of advance payment (if any)
  • No cancellation charges
  • Refund processed within 7-10 business days

After Site Assessment, Before Material Procurement:

  • Refund of advance minus site assessment charges (₹2,000-₹5,000)
  • Deduction for design and documentation work completed
  • Refund processed within 10-15 business days

After Material Procurement, Before Installation:

  • Refund of advance minus:
    • Material procurement costs (actual)
    • Restocking fees (10-15% of material cost)
    • Design and documentation charges
    • Transportation costs
  • Refund processed within 15-30 business days

During Installation:

  • Refund of balance amount minus:
    • Completed work charges (pro-rata)
    • Material costs (non-returnable items)
    • Labor charges incurred
    • Site restoration costs (if applicable)
  • Refund processed within 30-45 business days

After Installation Completion:

  • No refund applicable
  • Quality issues covered under warranty

3. Cancellation by Company

We may cancel if:

  • Site is unsuitable for installation (full refund)
  • Customer provides false information (advance forfeited)
  • Customer fails to provide site access (refund minus costs incurred)
  • Force majeure events make project impossible (full refund)

4. Modification of Project

  • Minor changes: No additional charges if requested before procurement
  • Major changes: Revised quotation required
  • Material already procured: Non-refundable

5. Government Subsidy Related

Subsidy Application Rejection:

  • Installation charges: Non-refundable
  • Customer may continue without subsidy
  • We are not liable for government decisions

Subsidy Delay:

  • Not grounds for cancellation
  • Customer responsible for full payment
  • Subsidy paid directly by government to customer

6. Refund Process

  • Written cancellation request required
  • Refund calculated within 7 days of request
  • Payment via original payment method or bank transfer
  • Deductions itemized in refund statement

7. Non-Refundable Items

  • Government fees and stamp duty
  • Electrical work and meter charges
  • Structural modifications
  • Completed services
  • Consumed materials

8. Payment Gateway Charges

  • Online payment gateway fees (2-3%) non-refundable
  • Applicable on all refunds

9. Warranty and Service Issues

  • Defects covered under warranty (no refund, repair/replacement)
  • Performance issues: System inspection before action
  • Maintenance required: Chargeable service
  • Misuse or negligence: Not covered

10. Dispute Resolution

  • Refund disputes: 30-day resolution period
  • Mediation before legal action
  • Written communication required

11. Force Majeure

No refund obligations if project cancelled due to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Government restrictions
  • Pandemic or health emergencies
  • War or civil unrest Alternative project timeline will be offered.

12. Equipment Return

If cancellation involves equipment return:

  • Items must be unused and in original packaging
  • Return shipping: Customer’s responsibility
  • Inspection required before refund
  • Restocking fee: 15% of equipment value

13. Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC)

  • Cancellation: Pro-rata refund for unused period
  • Minimum 30-day notice required
  • No refund if services already rendered

14. Special Circumstances

Refunds may be expedited for:

  • Medical emergencies (documentation required)
  • Financial hardship (case-by-case basis)
  • Company error (full refund)
